After the successful release of his highly acclaimed and VGMA winning album, ‘Mercy Project’, in September 2012, African Gospel Awards’ 2013 Artiste of the Year West Africa, Cwesi Oteng, is busy in the studio cooking up a mind-blowing album with an unknown release date.
NickSolomonblog exclusively reports on the album as to what fans and music lovers should expect after my investigations, even though Cwesi Oteng’s camp is tight-lipped on the project for now.
Cwesi’s music has the unique sound of a perfect blend of cross-cultural contemporary African and western rhythms and dynamic vocals laced with thought-provoking messages very relevant to
current times and which appeals to both young and old albeit their background
According to sources close to Cwesi Oteng’s team, production on the new album began early last year leading to the release of the album’s first single, ‘I Win’, on January 28, 2013 and then the second single, ‘Count Your Blessings’ in June, 2013. The music videos for the singles are receiving good rotation on TV in Ghana and many gospel platforms in Africa and beyond.
Production of other songs on album is ongoing. Cwesi has been spotted working tirelessly in and out of different studios (including Groove Zone studio, BBnZ Live Studio, Groove House Studio, Koded Studio and Black City Studio) together with his crack production team made up of Flo’Riva Inc, Fire Band, Jay Zymera, Francis Osei, Koda and Kaywa plus other musician friends of his.NickSolomonblog exclusively reports on the album as to what fans and music lovers should expect after my investigations, even though Cwesi Oteng’s camp is tight-lipped on the project for now.

The album is expected to have many songs with varying compositional styles, rhythms and languages. The trademark profound messages he conveys in his lyrics on the album will be another plus. Though the album title and release date still remain a secret, NickSolomonblog can confirm that the album will be tied with a project just like his award-winning Mercy Project album.
Cwesi Oteng was recently at Tesano Baptist Church where he ministered powerfully with other colleague ministers during the Thanksgiving 2014 concert and over the weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for Kumasi Worships with Sonnie Badu. Cwesi is expected to headline a couple of concerts in Nigeria on Valentine’s Day at the National Sports Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria with the Tehila Crew, Sammie Okposo and others, plus other concerts consequently in different states in coming months.
Nicksolomonblog will keep you abreast of future developments concerning this project and the anointed Cwesi Oteng as it is on the mission find out everything about the album! Watch out for Cwesi’s freshest singles off the new album coming next week. Subscribe to this blog.
