Ghanaian Afro pop songstress, Wiyaala has been named among some international artists who will be performing at the 2016 edition of WOMAD Festival in the UK in July.
WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance) is an international arts festival, founded in 1980 by English rock musician Peter Gabriel, with Thomas Brooman, Bob Hooton, Mark Kidel, Stephen Pritchard, Martin Elbourne and Jonathan Arthur.
The central aim of WOMAD is to celebrate the world’s many forms of music, arts and dance. This year’s festival is scheduled to take place from July 28 to 31.
Wiyaala will be performing alongside Malian French singer; Inna Modja, French hip hop star; Onra, Ghana’s own Pat Thomas and a host of others.
